Very rugged traditional Dacron sails. Full Battens. Heavy weight for the demands of off shore sailing. You may also choose this sail if you plan to tow your boat a long distance and then sail for a year. Due to the added weight of these sails they are a little more difficult to handle. Polyester Dacron with seams finished with three rows of zig-sag stitching. Corner rings reinforced with webbing and finish with leather on top. Strong sail low in stretch for durability and optimum performance over the widest possible wind range.

Hank-on / Dacron Cruise Laminate

Our premium sail offering for cruising or racing. These sails use laminate sail cloth with a light taffeta on each side to provide the durability of a very heavy woven Dacron sail, but without the weight and handling difficulty. The laminate cloth used in these sails has the strength of 7.4 OZ woven Dacron but with the weight and handling ease of a 5 or 5.5 OZ sail. Our Custom genoas are a cross cut design. Because these sails are made to order, many options are available, call for specific prices and to consult with a BWY expert to help you configure your sail just the way you want it. Price will vary due to additional options you choose. This is a custom product which typically takes 2-4 weeks in the off-season and up to 6 weeks during our busy season.

Our most popular option and a big upgrade from the economy sail at a really good price. The heavier cloth will hold its good shape much longer through the life of the sail. High Modulus cloth is stronger per cloth weight. Includes the two reef points the first at the 42" point and the second reef point at 84". This gives you the ability to reef sooner (first reefing at about 12 knots) and continue to sail in higher winds. Also includes the jack lines to make reefing easier, these jack lines allow the sail slides to rest on the sail stop but allows the sail to reach the boom for reefing. This is a loose foot sail, meaning that the sail is only attached to the boom at the tack and the outhaul. This allows the shape to carry all the way down to the boom. There is an outhaul slide to adjust the outhaul.

Roller Furling / 5.0 High Modulus Dacron / White UV cover

The next step up from standard factory sails, made for more rugged use and longer life, with reinforced corner rings, heavier corner and reef patches, and double stitching. This sail includes a built in UV cover for added convenience on boats that are permanently or frequently moored in the water. We use a white UV resistant Dacron for the cover, this material provides excellent UV protection but does not add as much weight to the sail as an acrylic (Sunbrella) cover. Acrylic covers are very heavy and change shape differently than the rest of the sail over time so you end up with an intact UV strip that has ruined the shape of an otherwise healthy sail. If you mostly trailer your boat we recommend you purchase the version of this sail that comes without a UV cover and use our pull up sock type cover which provides both UV protection while moored and protection from dirt and abrasion while trailering, this gives you the best protection and the best sailing performance.

Nylite 90 / Tri-radial sail, red/white/blue.

This picture shows the color but this is not a tri-radial sail, picture coming soon! A tri-radial sail pattern is a three point star. Very cool looking! The price is for the sail alone. You will need sheets, tack hardware, and halyard. We recommend raising your hayard, installing a new halyard tang and block, 16-24" above your current headstay. This allows the sail to fly with less interference with the headstay and headsail. On the 26M a bow sprit is a nice way to also get less interference with the headstay.
Venture 24/224, Venture 25, MacGregor 25, 26C & 26D requires halyard to be raised 24" above headstay. See our Spinnaker Halyard Relocation Kit to raise the halyard. Part number #3807-1V4

This is the complete roller furling system for all MacGregor models. You will also need the deck hardware to lead the control line to the cockpit and a headstay compatible with the furler. We can provide you with both. Your headstay must have a standard turnbuckle at the bottom and a swaged threaded stud on the bottom end, not a loop. The luff is not returnable.

You also may be interested in the ball bearing upgrade for the furling drum. This is a replacement metal ball bearing. ALthough it's not a night and day" difference between the standard bearing and the ball bearing it is a nice upgrade and truly the only way to get maximum performance and ease of use out of the CDI flexible furler system.

Fits V24, V224, V25, M25, M26C, M26X. Does not have sail feed slot cut or any holes for hardware drilled. Must be shipped motor freight, call for quote, disregard quoted shipping on website. Masts are shipped inside a rigid plastic pipe. Mast packaging fee: $100

We recommend buying a new mast foot plate with a new mast so we can drill the holes to match up correctly.

Made with high quality 5 OZ High Modulus Dacron in a cross cut design. This sails feature all stainless steel corner rings hydraulically pressed into the sail as well as larger corner reinforcements. High quality bronze push style hanks are used to connect to the forestay. While slightly heavier and stiffer to handle than the factory sails, these sails will last much longer, perform better through a larger wind range (your boat will go faster and heel less), and hold their shape better in high winds than the factory sails so you won't have to reef or change down to a small headsail as often.

1987 thru early 1990 boats had daggerboards. Later 1990 boats had centerboards. The design changed mid year. Make sure you are ordering the right part.

This daggerboard is also available with a white gelcoated and polished finish instead of the standard grey barrier coat. The smoother board is more performance oriented.

No Reef Point / 4.0 Dacron / Standard Battens

This is the least expensive way to get back on the water quickly. This sail has sail slides, no reef points, and standard battens. It is a light weight sail but will get you going and keep you sailing for a season or two.

Roller Furling ready with #6 luff tape, fits CDI furling units and other units of that size. The 100% Jib will roll out to reach the mast, but does not reach past. For the larger sail you will need the 150% Genoa. The jib will give you quicker and easier tacks, and allow you to sail into the wind, point, higher than the genoa. This sail has a white UV cover, but we recommend for long term storage to use the hoist up sock / genoa cover to protect it from sun exposure and to protect it while trailering.

This rudder blade is a drop-in replacement for your boat's original blade, no modifications to your boat are necessary. Constructed of fiberglass and laminated with vinylester resin, molded with an NACA airfoil shape and finished with white gel-coat. This rudder blade was designed to reduce weight compared to our HDPE rudder blade, while also helping reduce weather helm and tiller effort. The true NACA airfoil shape maximizes lift while reducing drag, making it faster off the wind, with more control. The lift generated will help the boat point higher, and allow your boat to accelerate in puffs without rounding up.

This is a barely used sail, purchased from us about a year ago and flown once or twice. It will fit the 26C or M25/V25

A definite upgrade from your old factory sails, but still very reasonably priced. Made with high quality 5 OZ High Modulus Dacron in a cross cut design. These sails feature a hydraulically pressed stainless steel ring for the clew, and reinforced nylon webbing for the head and tack to allow a strong but flexible connection.

While slightly heavier and stiffer to handle than the factory sails, this sail will last much longer, perform better through a larger wind range (your boat will go faster and heel less), and hold their shape better in high winds than the factory sails so you won't have to reef as often. This is a 100% Jib, the sail does not reach past the mast. The larger sail that reaches past the mast is called a Genoa. With brass pull style Hanks to attach to your headstay. Roller Furling, 5.5 Dacron / NO UV Cover

Roller Furling ready with #6 luff tape, for CDI furling units and other units with that size. The 100% Jib rolls out to reach the mast but does not go past. Can be rolled and used smaller. The Jib allows you to sail closer to the wind, point higher, and tack faster than the genoa sail (larger reaching past the mast). The heavier weight will give you good performance and hold its shape longer than the standard factory sail which is much lighter weight. Easy to use. This sail has no UV cover and we recommend purchasing the hoist up style jib cover for it. Without UV protection you will need to remove the sail when you are finished sailing and store out of the sun. Or easily pull up the hoist on sock / jib cover. Direct replacement for all boats since mid 1980's, premium upgrade for earlier boats or late model 26M with plastic Forespar winches. Includes two winches. Does not include winch handle. Order #4502-110 winch handle if you need a new one.

The bronze winches are a nice upgrade, offering the same reliable functionality with a nicer aesthetic. If you upgrade to the bronze winches please allow an extra week for shipment, as they are a special order for us and take some time to get.
BOOM, COMPLETE, 26C, 26X, 26M MAST RAISING SYSTEM, CURRENT WITH WINCH FOR ALL BUT 26M BOOM, BARE EXTRUSION, 10.5 FT

The original boom extrusion is no longer available, this package uses the larger and stronger extrusion also used for the mast on all boats before 2003. We cannot assemble any hardware on the boom before shipping it, as it would not fit in the tube that we use for packaging. This is a complete boom assembly including all factory original hardware redesigned where needed to fit the new larger extrusion. Does not have any optional hardware such as single line reefing, boom vang bail, or custom outhaul. These kits are available seperately. Must be shipped motor freight, expect high shipping charges and a $30 special packaging fee.
This is the newer winch style mast raising system for use on all MacGregor and Venture boats except the 26M. This system can be used if you don't have a mast raiser at all or if you want to update a block and tackle style system to the newer winch style.

Most boats will need some additional hardware, especially if you don't have any mast raiser at all now. Be sure to read the "Extended Information" section before you order! If the wrong parts are ordered from the drop-down options the customer will be responsible for return shipping charges and the shipping of the correct parts.

This system is very specific to the MacGregor Mast and MacGregor hardware and is not sold for or intended to be used on other brands of boats.



Fits all boats except V24 and V224 which had an 11' boom, we can offer this length. This will need to be cut to length for all models 17' thru 24'. Must be shipped motor freight, expect high shipping charges and a $30 special packaging fee. We are using the same section as the mast, this will require that you also replace your boom end caps with the new part, boom end cap large. Please call if you have questions

Included in this special package: - mainsail slides - jack lines - intermediate reef point - sail stop
Mainsail slides allow you to quickly raise and lower your mainsail by relieving you from having to feed the bolt rope up the slot every time you raise it. The reduced friction also makes lowering a breeze, and makes it more convenient to store your mainsail on the boom. Intermediate reef point is for sails that come standard with only one reef point. As the wind picks up, you will want to reduce the heel of the boat but often won't want such a large reef, this option gives you the proper first choice. Shown are the jack line, slide, and first reef point. More reef points are along the sail, and the rest of the slides are on shackles directly to new grommets installed on the sail.
NOTE: This is not a kit that we can send to you. We will have you mail us your mainsail and a professional sailmaker will do the necessary modifications and install. Turnaround time is 1-2 weeks after we receive your sail.


Low profile cover will fit boats that have mast gate covers, not spread. This allows the sail slides to stack all the way at the bottom of the mast track, at the boom level. 11'6" long Sunbrella cloth cover, black, ocean blue, and pacific blue available colors. Black is usually in stock. Other colors are made to order and may take 2-3 weeks to ship.

Sunbrella Canvas mainsail cover, its standard factory sail with slides that stack above a sail stop placed above the spread opening. 11'6" long. Boats with a mast gate cover, the notch opening, that allows the sail slides to go all the way down to the boom use our low profile cover #2305-1V0. Black standard color is normally in stock. Other colors available are ocean blue, pacific blue, and cadet grey, 2 to 3 week lead time. Any other color non-refundable.
