Fits all boats from 1982 - 1995 except the 26X. Due to many variations from boat to boat and year to year, these rudders are shipped without the pivot bolt holes drilled. match up to your old rudder or bracket to drill.
This new high performance replacement rudder blade fits most 21, 22, 25, 26S, 26D with a 1.75" rudder castle opening. This rudder blade is a drop-in replacement for your boat's original blade, no modifications to your boat are necessary. Constructed of HDPE hard plastic. This rudder blade helps reduce weather helm and tiller effort. The true NACA airfoil shape maximizes lift while reducing drag, making it faster off the wind, with more control. The lift generated will help the boat point higher, and allow your boat to accelerate in puffs without rounding up.

This rudder blade was designed to reduce weight compared to our HDPE rudder blade, while also helping reduce weather helm and tiller effort.

Stainless steel internal rudder post used on the 26C beginning in the Fall of 1990, some early 1990 models used the external aluminum rudder post #5202-1C1.

Hold down cable for the rudder on the MacGregor 26 Classic (sometimes called the 26D or the 26S) This is for boats with the internal stainless rudder post only. Included are the cable, line, and the wire bolt with nut and washer.

Delrin shear pins for rudder hold-down applications. These are designed
to be sacrificial, they hold the rudder completely in a down position
unless an underwater obstacle is encountered at speed.
For example, the Macgregor rudder assemblies require approximately 150
lbs of force on the tip of the blade to shear this pin, much less than
the loads transferred during a grounding, but dramatically more than is
evident while under sail at or above hull speed.
Unlike metal pins or nylon bolts, the delrin construction allows them to
shear completely rather than deform.

This small bushing goes inside the top of the rudder post to prevent it from deforming when the tiller handle mounting bolt is tightened. These are often lost when the tiller is removed or the rudder pull down cable is replaced. If yours is missing, you should replace it so the tiller can be properly tightened. Used on all late model 26C with internal stainless steel rudder post.

A rubber cable boot and mounting ring, sold together as a pair. This is a 3" diameter ring and can be mounted anywhere on the hull or transom, it is recommended that you use a marine sealant along with stainless screws when mounting this piece. Typically used with steering cables/controls or electrical wires.
