Used to replace discontinued Detmar steering system on 1998 - 2003 26X and early 26M. Also direct replacement for Tattoo 26 factory system. Much more reliable, smoother and less sloppy than original. Requires some cutting on steering pedestal to install. Comes with instructions to retrofit. Includes cable, helm unit, and bezel kit.

The high performance cable has less play, easier and smoother steering, and will keep the steering tight and responsive for longer. Later model 26Ms that have a Teleflex steering system can just order the upgrade cable by itself, part #5707-1M4.
