This is the newer winch style mast raising system for use on all MacGregor and Venture boats except the 26M. This system can be used if you don't have a mast raiser at all or if you want to update a block and tackle style system to the newer winch style.

Most boats will need some additional hardware, especially if you don't have any mast raiser at all now. Be sure to read the "Extended Information" section before you order! If the wrong parts are ordered from the drop-down options the customer will be responsible for return shipping charges and the shipping of the correct parts.

This system is very specific to the MacGregor Mast and MacGregor hardware and is not sold for or intended to be used on other brands of boats.

The following is a list of what equipment you will usually need for each type of MacGregor / Venture boat.

IF YOU DO NOT HAVE AN OLDER STYLE MAST RAISER NOW:

ALL KEELBOATS (Venture and MacGregor 1987 and older) will need to add:
Deck straps, mast bottom plate, mast deck plate, and mast raising side support wire assembly. YOU WILL NOT NEED MAST BASE SIDE ANGLES.

MACGREGOR 26D (Daggerboard) will need to add:
Mast base side angles, mast raising side support wire assembly
The side angles you will receive are the upgraded 26M/Tattoo style ones with block holes that allow you to run halyards aft to the cockpit more easily.

ALL M19 AND 26S (1987 thru 1995) need to add:
Mast raising side support wire assembly, also see below.

SOME M19 AND 26S (1992 and some 1993) will ALSO need:
Mast base side angles, mast bottom plate, deck straps. During this time MacGregor was using a one piece mast step with a vertical slot for the mast base bolt which must be replaced. These boats had no bottom plate on the mast and also had no deck straps to attach the side wire assembly to.

26X (1995 thru 2003):
Mast raising side support wire assembly.

IF YOU HAVE AN OLDER STYLE BLOCK AND TACKLE MAST RAISER NOW AND ARE UPGRADING:

ALL KEELBOATS (Venture and MacGregor 1987 and older) will need to add:
This is an unlikely situation as none of these boats came with a mast raiser except a very small number of late model M25's. If someone has already retrofitted an older system to your boat you should call us or email us pictures of what you have now so we can get you the correct hardware.

MACGREGOR 26D (Daggerboard) will need to add:
If your boat has a mast raising pole that attaches directly to the mast you will need mast side angles as the new mast raising pole attaches to the side angles not the mast.

SOME M19 AND 26S (1992 and some 1993) will need:

26X, 26S AND M19 (other than those years listed above):
These boats should not need any additional hardware.
