Simply the best for cruising or racing. Cruise Laminate Cloth with a tri radial design for added strength, and a really cool look! Full Battens. This is a sail that weighs and handles about the same as the 5.5 oz sail but is stronger and more durable than the 7 oz sail. This premium fabric is made from 5 layers of material and is laminated together. The inner layer is a scrim made of small bundles of fiber with spaces between the bundles. This is then covered on both sides with a layer of mylar plastic film, the mylar is then covered on both sides by a thin layer of woven dacron. This construction creates a fabric that has the strength and shape stability of a high end racing sail combined with the durability of a cruising sail. This is a custom product which typically takes 2-4 weeks in the off-season and up to 6 weeks during our busy season.

Roller Furling / 5.5 Dacron / Foam luff / White UV cover

The ultimate in durability for Dacron sails. Made with premium 5.5 OZ Dacron in a crosscut design for super durability under extreme conditions. Includes a foam luff pad for better shape when reefed, external corner rings with webbing and leather reinforcements, extra telltales, and a White Dacron UV cover.
We use a white UV resistant Dacron for the cover, this material provides excellent UV protection but does not add as much weight to the sail as an acrylic (Sunbrella) cover. Acrylic covers are very heavy and change shape differently than the rest of the sail over time so you end up with an intact UV strip that has ruined the shape of an otherwise healthy sail. These sails are quite heavy and stiff to handle and are, quite frankly, overkill for most Mac sailors. If you feel you want this level of strength and durability, you should strongly consider our Custom sails which use laminate cloth that is both stronger and easier to handle.

2 Reef Points / 5.0 High Modulus Dacron / Jack Lines / Standard Battens / Loose Foot / Ropeless Foot and Luff / "M" Logo

Our most popular option and a big upgrade from the economy sail at a really good price. The heavier cloth will hold its good shape much longer through the life of the sail. High Modulus cloth is stronger per cloth weight. Includes the two reef points the first at the 42" point and the second reef point at 84". This gives you the ability to reef sooner (first reefing at about 12 knots) and continue to sail in higher winds. Also includes the jack lines to make reefing easier, these jack lines allow the sail slides to rest on the sail stop but allows the sail to reach the boom for reefing. This is a loose foot sail, meaning that the sail is only attached to the boom at the tack and the outhaul. This allows the shape to carry all the way down to the boom. There is an outhaul slide to adjust the outhaul.

An upgrade from the standard factory sail! Reasonably priced but made with high quality 5.5 oz Dacron in a cross cut design. These sails feature a hydraulically pressed stainless steel ring for the clew, and reinforced nylon webbing for the head and tack to allow a strong but flexible connection to your furler. While slightly heavier and stiffer to handle than the factory sails, this sail will last much longer, perform better through a larger wind range (your boat will go faster and heel less), and will hold their shape better in light winds. You won't have to reef as often as with the standard factory sail.
Hank-on / 4.0 Dacron

This is a high quality 150% Genoa cut for ocean and offshore sailing. The premium 4.0 OZ cloth provides good durability while optimizing performance in the light wind condition this sail is designed for. Comes with tell tales and a sail bag, and standard brass push style Hanks.

Nylite 90 / Tri-radial sail, red/white/blue.

This picture shows the color but this is not a tri-radial sail, picture coming soon! A tri-radial sail pattern is a three point star. Very cool looking! The price is for the sail alone. You will need sheets, tack hardware, and halyard. We recommend raising your hayard, installing a new halyard tang and block, 16-24" above your current headstay. This allows the sail to fly with less interference with the headstay and headsail. On the 26M a bow sprit is a nice way to also get less interference with the headstay.
Venture 24/224, Venture 25, MacGregor 25, 26C & 26D requires halyard to be raised 24" above headstay. See our Spinnaker Halyard Relocation Kit to raise the halyard. Part number #3807-1V4

This is the complete roller furling system for all MacGregor models. You will also need the deck hardware to lead the control line to the cockpit and a headstay compatible with the furler. We can provide you with both. Your headstay must have a standard turnbuckle at the bottom and a swaged threaded stud on the bottom end, not a loop. The luff is not returnable.

You also may be interested in the ball bearing upgrade for the furling drum. This is a replacement metal ball bearing. ALthough it's not a night and day" difference between the standard bearing and the ball bearing it is a nice upgrade and truly the only way to get maximum performance and ease of use out of the CDI flexible furler system.

Fits V24, V224, V25, M25, M26C, M26X. Does not have sail feed slot cut or any holes for hardware drilled. Must be shipped motor freight, call for quote, disregard quoted shipping on website. Masts are shipped inside a rigid plastic pipe. Mast packaging fee: $100

Select appropriate options if you'd like the mast drilled for hardware installation and/or notched for the sail feed slot.

We recommend buying a new mast foot plate with a new mast so we can drill the holes to match up correctly.

This rudder blade is a drop-in replacement for your boat's original blade, no modifications to your boat are necessary. Constructed of fiberglass and laminated with vinylester resin, molded with an NACA airfoil shape and finished with white gel-coat. This rudder blade was designed to reduce weight compared to our HDPE rudder blade, while also helping reduce weather helm and tiller effort. The true NACA airfoil shape maximizes lift while reducing drag, making it faster off the wind, with more control. Direct replacement for all boats since mid 1980's, premium upgrade for earlier boats or late model 26M with plastic Forespar winches. Includes two winches. Does not include winch handle. Order #4502-110 winch handle if you need a new one.

The bronze winches are a nice upgrade, offering the same reliable functionality with a nicer aesthetic. If you upgrade to the bronze winches please allow an extra week for shipment, as they are a special order for us and take some time to get.

This boom fits all Venture and MacGregor models through 1987 except the V-24 and V-224 (these boats had an 11' long boom which is no longer available). We will cut to length for models with boom lengths under 10'. Must be shipped motor freight, expect high shipping charges and a $30 special packaging fee. The original size boom section is no longer available. We are using the same section as the mast, this will require that you also replace your boom end caps with the new part, boom end cap large. Please call if you have questions.
This is the newer winch style mast raising system for use on all MacGregor and Venture boats except the 26M. This system can be used if you don't have a mast raiser at all or if you want to update a block and tackle style system to the newer winch style.

Most boats will need some additional hardware, especially if you don't have any mast raiser at all now. Be sure to read the "Extended Information" section before you order! If the wrong parts are ordered from the drop-down options the customer will be responsible for return shipping charges and the shipping of the correct parts.

This system is very specific to the MacGregor Mast and MacGregor hardware and is not sold for or intended to be used on other brands of boats.

Fits all boats except V24 and V224 which had an 11' boom, we can offer this length. This will need to be cut to length for all models 17' thru 24'. Must be shipped motor freight, expect high shipping charges and a $30 special packaging fee. Included in this special package: - mainsail slides - jack lines - intermediate reef point - sail stop
Mainsail slides allow you to quickly raise and lower your mainsail by relieving you from having to feed the bolt rope up the slot every time you raise it. The reduced friction also makes lowering a breeze, and makes it more convenient to store your mainsail on the boom. Intermediate reef point is for sails that come standard with only one reef point. As the wind picks up, you will want to reduce the heel of the boat but often won't want such a large reef, this option gives you the proper first choice. Shown are the jack line, slide, and first reef point. More reef points are along the sail, and the rest of the slides are on shackles directly to new grommets installed on the sail.
NOTE: This is not a kit that we can send to you. We will have you mail us your mainsail and a professional sailmaker will do the necessary modifications and install. Turnaround time is 1-2 weeks after we receive your sail.


Low profile cover will fit boats that have mast gate covers, not spread. This allows the sail slides to go and stack all the way at the bottom of the mast track, at the boom level. 11'6" long sunbrella cloth cover, black, ocean blue, and pacific blue available colors. Black only is available with MacGregor logo and is usually in stock. Canvas orders may take 2-3 weeks to have them made.

Sunbrella Canvas mainsail cover, its standard factory sail with slides that stack above a sail stop placed above the spread opening. 11'6" long. Boats with a mast gate cover, the notch opening, that allows the sail slides to go all the way down to the boom use our low profile cover #2305-1V0. Black standard color is normally in stock, this is the only color available with the MacGregor logo. Other colors available are ocean blue, pacific blue, and cadet grey, 2 to 3 week lead time. Any other color non-refundable.

THIS LUFF FITS THE CDI UNIT ONLY. This is the plastic headfoil for the CDI, Cruising Design, roller furling units. This plastic luff is what the headsail rolls up onto, the headstay is inside. Has two groves, one on each side, for sail. Luff is not returnable.
